Emotional Intelligence in Leadership Learning How to Be More Aware
When you think of a "perfect leader," What Comes to Mind? You Might picture
Someone Who never lets His temper get out of control, No Matter What he's Facing Problems. You Might Think of Someone Who has the complete trust of her staff, always speaks kindly, listens to her team, is easy to talk to and always makes careful, informed decisions.
These are qualities of someone with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
Look at why emotional intelligence is so important for leaders – and how you, as a leader, can improve yours.
What Is Emotional Intelligence?
Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to understand and manage both your own emotions, and those of the people around you. People with a high degree of emotional intelligence usually know what they're feeling, what this means, and how their emotions can affect other people.
For leaders, having emotional intelligence is essential for success. After all, who is more likely to succeed – a leader who shouts at his team when he's under stress, or a leader who stay in control, and calmly assesses the situation?
There are five main elements of emotional intelligence:
1. Self-awareness.
2. Self-regulation.
3. Motivation.
4. Empathy.
5. Social skills.
The more that you, as a leader, manage each of these areas, the higher your emotional intelligence. So, let's look at each element in more detail and examine how you can grow as a leader.
Emotional Intelligence in Leadership

1. Self-awareness
If you're self-aware, you always know how you feel. And you know how your emotions, and your actions, can affect the people around you. Being self-aware when you're in a leadership position also means having a clear picture of your strengths and weaknesses. And it means having humility.
So, what can you do to improve your self-awareness?
• Keep a journal – Journals help improve your self-awareness. If you spend just a few minutes each day writing down your thoughts, this can move you to a higher degree of self-awareness.
• Slow down – When you experience anger or other strong emotions, slow down to examine why. Remember, no matter what the situation, you can always choose how you react to it.

2. Self-regulation
Leaders who regulate themselves effectively rarely verbally attack others, make rushed or emotional decisions, stereotype people, or compromise their values. Self-regulation is all about staying in control.
This element of emotional intelligence covers a leader's flexibility and commitment to personal accountability.
So, how can you improve your ability to self-regulate?
• Know your values – Do you have a clear idea of where you absolutely will not compromise? Do you know what values are most important to you? Spend some time examining your "code of ethics." If you know what's most important to you, then you probably won't have to think twice when you face a moral or ethical decision – you'll make the right choice.
• Hold yourself accountable – If you tend to blame others when something goes wrong, stop. Make a commitment to admit to your mistakes and face the consequences, whatever they are. You'll probably sleep better at night, and you'll quickly earn the respect of those around you.
• Practice being calm – The next time you're in a challenging situation, be very aware of how you act. Do you relieve your stress by shouting at someone else? Practice deep-breathing exercises to calm yourself. Also, try to write down all of the negative things you want to say, and then rip it up and throw it away. Expressing these emotions on paper (and not showing them to anyone!) is better than speaking them aloud to your team. What's more, this helps you challenge your reactions to make sure that they're fair!

3. Motivation
Self-motivated leaders consistently work toward their goals. And they have extremely high standards for the quality of their work.
How can you improve your motivation?
• Re-examine why you're doing this – It's easy to forget what you really love about your career. So, take some time to remember why you wanted this job. If you're unhappy in your role and you're struggling to remember why you wanted it, try the Five Whys technique to find the root of the problem. Starting at the root often helps you look at your situation in a new way.
• And make sure that your goal statements are fresh and energizing.
• Know where you stand – Determine how motivated you are to lead. Our Leadership Motivation Assessment can help you see clearly how motivated you are in your leadership role. If you need to increase your motivation to lead, and it then directs you to resources that can help.
• Be hopeful and find something good – Motivated leaders are usually optimistic, no matter what they face. Adopting this mindset might take practice, but it's well worth the effort. Every time you face a challenge, or even a failure, try to find at least one good thing about the situation. It might be something small, like a new contact, or something with long-term effects, like an important lesson learned. But there's almost always something positive – you just have to look for it.

4. Empathy
For leaders, having empathy is critical to managing a successful team or organization. Leaders with empathy have the ability to put themselves in someone else's situation. They help develop the people on their team, challenge others who are acting unfairly, give constructive feedback, and listen to those who need it.
If you want to earn the respect and loyalty of your team, then show them you care by being empathic.
How can you improve your empathy?
• Put yourself in someone else's position – It's easy to support your own point of view. After all, it's yours! But take the time to look at situations from other people's perspectives.
• Pay attention to body language – Perhaps when you listen to someone, you cross your arms, move your feet back and forth, or bite your lip. This body language tells others how you really feel about a situation, and the message you're giving isn't positive! Learning to read body language can be a real asset when you're in a leadership role because you'll be better able to determine how someone truly feels. And this gives you the opportunity to respond appropriately.
• Respond to feelings – You ask your subordinate to work late – again. And although he agrees, you can hear the disappointment in his voice. So, respond by addressing his feelings. Tell him you appreciate how willing he is to work extra hours, and that you're just as frustrated about working late. If possible, figure out a way for future late nights to be less of an issue.

5. Social skills
Leaders who do well in this element of emotional intelligence are great communicators. They're just as open to hearing bad news as good news, and they're experts at getting their team to support them and be excited about a new mission or project.
Leaders who have good social skills are also good at managing change and resolving conflicts diplomatically. They're rarely satisfied with leaving things as they are, but they're also not willing to make everyone else do the work. They set the example with their own behavior.
So, how can you improve your leadership by building social skills?
• Learn conflict resolution – Leaders must know how to resolve conflicts between their team members, customers, or vendors. Learning conflict resolution skills is vital if you want to succeed.
• Improve your communication skills – How well do you communicate?
• Learn how to praise others – As a leader, you can inspire the loyalty of your team simply by giving praise when it's earned. Learning how to effectively praise others is a fine art, but well worth the effort.
Key Points
Thanks to the many challenges and opportunities that arise when working with others, leaders must have a solid understanding of how their emotions and actions affect the people around them. The better a leader relates to and works with others, Successful I or the more she will be.
Take the time to work on self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Working on this will help you excel in the future! Ubiratan

Marzetti Slaw Dressing Recipe

This is my doctor ...! (Anonymous)

Dr. Paulo, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, a local TV interview, was asked several tips that are always given ...

Question: cardiovascular exercises extend the life, right?

A: Your heart was made to beat by a number of times ... beats do not waste these exercises. Everything is eventually spent. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer: That's like saying usted puede prolongar la vida de su auto dirigiendo mas de prisa. Quiere vivir mas? Duerma una siesta !!!

P: Debo dejar de comer carnes rojas y comer mas frutas y vegetales?

R: Usted precisa entender la logística de la eficiencia... .Que come la vaca? Pasto y maiz. Que es eso? Vegetal.

Beer is also made from cereals. Can take!

Q: What are the advantages of a regular exercise program?

A: My philosophy is: If you do not have pain ... okay!

P: Chips are harmful?

A: YOU ARE NOT LISTENING TO ME! ... Today, the food is fried in vegetable oil. The truth is that they are impregnated with vegetable oil. As more plant can be harmful to you?

P: Push-ups help reduce fat?

A: Absolutely not! Exercising a muscle does just that it increases in size.

Q: Chocolate is bad?

R: Are you crazy? !! Cocoa!! Another vegetable! It is a good food to be happy!

And remember: Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, with an attractive and well preserved body. Better get on the road - Beer in hand - potato chips in the other - a lot of sex and a body completely spent, fully used, shouting: was it worth! THAT TRIP!

P D.: If WERE HEALTHY WALK THE POSTMAN would be immortal .....! WHALE

NOTHING THE WHOLE DAY, JUST COME FISH, AND WATER IS JUST BABY FAT ....!

REMEMBER:

THE RABBIT RUN, JUMP AND LIVE 15 YEARS, THE TURTLE NOT DO NOTHING RUNS AND LIVE 450 YEARS

There are four things in life that do not recover:
1. A stone, having been lacing
2. One word, having been told
3. Once, after having lost
4. Time ... After having spent ...

Christian Sympathy Sayings

The House Rules (Anonimo)

In my house taught me well.

When I was a child, at home I was taught to honor two sacred rules:

Rule No. 1: In this house the rules are not discussed. Rule

N ° 2: In this house should respect mom and dad.

And this rule was strictly in that order. Mom's a requirement that no one discussed ... Not even Dad. Crafty old, because it kept us at bay with the simple threat: "You'll see when I get Dad ..." Because the mothers were at home. For all the dads went to work ... Because there was work for all parents and all parents returned home.

did not have to pay a ransom or go to remove them to the morgue. Respect for Authority dad (of course, graciously granted and sustained by my mom) was reason enough for enforce the rules.

You probably say that since I was a little boy under a cowardly conformist or if you prefer, a small fascist, but accept me
this: he was very relieved to know that you had rules to respect. The rules contained me, ordering me and protecting me. I contained the horizon for me that my eyes would not get lost in the nothingness, protected me because
could rely on them as they were solid .. And I ordered because it is good to know what to expect. Otherwise, one has the feeling of deep, neglect and absence.

rules were easy to carry, clear, memorable and so real and consistent as they were "washing their hands before sitting at the table" or "listen when adults speak."

was another detail, the same people that I imposed the rules were the same as those fulfilled to the letter and were responsible for all the house met. There were no differences. We were all equal before the Sacred Law
Casera.

However, no doubt, often challenged the "rules" by the healthy and exciting process of "mischief" that allowed me to approach the edge of the universe and family know exactly the limits.
was always exposed, denounced and punished appropriately.

The prank and punishment wise belonged to the same process that allowed me to keep my sanity intact. There was not guilty without punishment and no punishment without blame. Do not tell me, you live in a world so predictable ..

The punishment was an elegant therapeutic outlet for all, which sheared away the bitterness and privileges. Therefore antics were not cumulative .. Neither did the two to one. A prank that such punishment.

never threatened me with something that is not willing and prepared to meet
.

So it was in my house. And that was supposed to be beyond the corner of my house. But no. They taught me well, but it was all wrong.
painfully slow and I found that beyond the corner of my house was "mischief" no "punishment", and a huge amount of "rules" were not met because the birthday is just a stupid (or an idiot, if I may).

The world into which I threw without anesthesia was upside down.
I knew something that, from my naive adult (yes, I'm still naive), I never could digest, but always I have to eat, "the
impunity."

Want to know something? In my house there was impunity. In my house there was justice, justice simple, clear and immediate. But there were also
mercy.

'll explain: Justice, because "that makes the pay." Pity, because you met the stipulated sentence and was excused, and his dignity was intact and standing. At the corner for so long, and ready ... And not a minute more, and not a minute less. On the other hand, one was convinced that it would be caught sooner or later, so I had to think very carefully before pulling up to the plate.

The rules were clear. The punishments were clear. So it was in my house.
And so I thought it was in life. But I was wrong. Today I must admit that in my childhood home was something that made the difference, and made everything work.

In my house had a "Third Rule" unwritten and, like all the unwritten rules, had the force of a sacred precept. This was the golden rule that presided over the behavior of my house:

Rule No. 3: Do not be insolent. If you broke the rule, accept it, become responsible and do what needs to be done to put things in place
.

This is the rule that was demolished in the society in which they live. That's what ruined us. Insolence. You can break a rule, is their risk, but if someone calls attention o es atrapado, no sea arrogante e insolente, tenga el coraje de aceptarlo y hacerse responsable.

- pretend to know everything.
- have reason to die.
- Do not listen.
- I care only if you serve me.

The insolence in my country allows people to starve and children do not have health or education. The insolence in my country succeeds that can not work receive a subsidy from the taxes paid
who can work (very fair), but can not work while the roads are closed and do not leave work those who can work to bring taxes to those who, defiantly, prevent them from working.
Read it again, because it seems impossible.
So let us all be unemployed.
insolence Because you do not mind, is small, ignorant and arrogant.

Well, and so it goes. Ah, I forgot, sacred rules of my house would be the same as yours?
How interesting.
Do you know that too many people have told me that these were also the rules at home?
So many people I confirmed that I concluded that we are a majority. So I wonder, if we are so many, why so easily get used to the abuses of the insolent? I'll answer it.

BECAUSE IT'S COMFORTABLE, and you get used to anything, not having to take responsibility. Why take responsibility is to take a commitment and commitment is to accept the risk of being rejected or criticized. Furthermore, although the vast majority are not good for anything, they are few but well-organized. However, I want to know how many are those who are willing to abide by these rules.

I propose we do something to identify with us. Notire papers in the street. If you see a paper pulled him up and throw it in a trash can. If no trash, take it with you until you find it. If you see someone throwing a paper on the street just you and lift
complies with rule 1. It will not spend much time in which we are more to raise the same paper.

If pedestrian crossing where it belongs and to respect the traffic lights, but not pass any vehicle, stay standing and respect the rule.

If you are a motorist, obey traffic lights and pedestrian rights respected. Be polite while driving, take the step shows education.
If out walking your dog, pick up trash.

All this seems very silly, but do not believe it is the only way to begin to shake off our proverbial insolence. I think the collective insolence has one antidote, responsibility individual.
I think the greatness of a nation begins to learn to keep it clean and orderly ...
If we can all do this, we will be able to do anything.
Because we have to learn to do every day. That is the challenge.
The successful because they are insolent insolent every day, all the time.
Our country is doomed: Or learn to shoulder the load always discipline or repentance.

do YOU WHAT YOU THINK? "WE RECOGNIZED IN THE STREET?
I hope I have been insolent. In that case, sorry.

Creative Extigy Drivers For Vista

Letter to his son Alvaro Obregon (June 1928)

The unprecedented original document was auctioned and published in Look magazine, surprised by the actuality of its content. The sender, Álvaro Obregón Salido, born in the psyche Finance, Navojoa, Sonora on February 19, 1880, and died in Mexico City, on July 17, 1928. This Mexican political and military participated in the Mexican Revolution and was the 48th president of our country, ruling of December 1, 1920 to November 30, 1924.

Cajeme, Sonora, June 27, 1928.

Mr. Humberto Obregon.

Mexico City
My dear son, Humberto:

This day is of great importance in your life because it marks the date when you reach adulthood, producing this event the most important transition in the life of man. Now assume, by operation of law, the honorable title of citizen and you subtract from custody that your father would hold the address of your actions, you assume therefore, all responsibility for your future, without this means, of course, relieved that I consider the continued requirement that parents have to advise and support our children. And I wanted, because of this date, give tips derived from the knowledge gained through my experience and knowledge of the human heart, the intensity de mi vida me ha permitido adquirir y del privilegio que del destino he recibido al permitirme actuar en todas las clases sociales que integran la familia humana.

Lo primero que necesitan los hombres para orientar sus facultades en la vida, y para protegerse y defenderse de las circunstancias you are bad and that through no fault of their own converge on his will, is classified. Qualify
has been one of the problems, the scope of very few who know understand. You must, therefore, begin by doing so and I my experience auxiliarte.

You belong to the inept group up, with very rare exceptions, the children of people who have reached higher or lower positions, they become accustomed since childhood to receive every attention and hospitality, and have many things
as other children do not have and going for it, losing the notion of the great truths of life and entering a world that offers it all without requiring nothing, thereby creating an impression of superiority that comes to them believe that their conditions are those that are creditors of that privileged position. Those who are born and grow up under the aegis of the overhead, they are doomed by a fatal law, to always look down, because they feel that everything around them is beneath the site that they have placed the vagaries of fate and any target they choose as the ideal of their activities, must be below the level at which they are
.

However, those belonging to the lower classes and develop in an environment of utmost modesty, they are intended, happily, to always look for up because everything around them is greater than the medium in which they act, both in the landscape of his eyes in his spirit, and all the objectives of its ideals must always look on rising levels.

And the constant effort to get rid of the disadvantage in that the contingencies of life have placed them, strengthen their character and ingenuity rush and fail in many cases gain new skills to enable them to continue ever upward trajectory. Wit, which is not a science and that, therefore, can not learn in any education center, means the best ally in the struggle for life and can only buy those which have been forced for their own destiny in the ongoing effort to find their own powers. Cleverness is not the heritage of children or young people who have made no effort to acquire what they need.

The value of things is determined by the effort made to acquire and when everything is available without effecting any, is lost sight of what is worth the effort and it ignores the important role it plays in solving the major life problems, and time is left over, takes us away from virtue and vice us closer. And this is another negative factor for those born under vantage points.

All parents generally recommend their children away from vices. I have always believed that there is only one service, called "excess" and that it should all try to free men. I know many cases of people who make a habit of virtue, when they have exceeded in practice. Always try to engage in no excess and no one can say you have a single vice.

The logical target of every man who starts in the struggle for life, must aim to get everything that is indispensable in order to satisfy their own needs. Get the essential and necessary to be relatively easy for an honest man who does not practice any excess that you subtract your time and I must decrease income from their work. Any effort to achieve these purposes, is always justified and
always recognized by our peers, but if it falls into the error, so common unfortunately fell under the influence of the superfluous, every sacrifice will be sterile, because the world the superfluous is infinite, no limits and recognizes their needs are greater the greater satisfaction is to give.

superfluous is the greatest enemy of the human family, and the rule of vanity has sacrificed a lot for the welfare and tranquility that men enjoy, if their requirements have been subtracted, and lost much of the honor that sacrifice to excess has been sacrificed.

Of all these truths can only get rid of that, having a superior spirit, come to constitute exceptions to the rules always refer to the normal case. If you manage to be one of those exceptions, you have to accept that you have been a privileged destination, thus to honor you and meeting your father, get rid of the precedents established and you can create one personality, whose merit achieved without effort all recognized.

These are the desires of your father and your mother would, if she had not the destination private the infinite happiness that a mother must experience when his eldest son reaches his majority, without first giving their parents a source of shame or sorrow such as yours.

Gen. Alvaro Obregon. Commentary

Gaby Vargas: I think

read this letter should be mandatory for all parents that we strive to pave the way for our children, thinking that this way will be happier. Oh

error! And as the ideas are quickly forgotten, we should read the newspaper
. I share with you a few paragraphs ...

If you have one or more children, I am sure that this letter has made you think and realize like me, the serious error in which parents can drop, we educate our children by providing everything, of course driven and blinded by that great love we have.
That we can be ignorant to the fact that, to solve the life from small privileged our children, all you accomplish is turning in some nice 'parasites'. That by giving 'all peladito and mouth', fill them with toys and material things, to try not to suffer to get something and get more than they give, all you accomplish is to help destroy their self-esteem.

The more limits you put on your children will have more tools to succeed tomorrow ...

Wedding Welcome Sample Letters

A MESSAGE BY GEORGE CARLIN:

The paradox of our time is that we have taller buildings and temperaments more reduced, wider roads and narrower viewpoints. We spend more but have less, we buy more but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller family, more convenience and less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge but less ability to judge, more experts but more problems, more medicine but less wellness.

drink too much, smoke too much, squander too much, laugh too little, drive too fast, get angry too, reveals too much, woke tired, read too little, watch TV and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too little and hate too often.

We have learned to make a living, but not to live. Add years to our lives, not life to years. We managed to and from the moon, but it makes it difficult to cross the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not the interior. We have done great things, but not better.

We cleared the air, but pollute our souls. We've conquered the atom but not our prejudice. We write more but learn less. We plan more but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. Produce computers that can process more information and disseminate it, but we communicate less and less.

These are times of fast foods and slow digestion, men of great stature and shortness of character, of enormous economic gains and superficial human relations. Today there are two incomes but more divorce, more luxurious houses but broken homes. These are times of quick trips, disposable diapers, disposable moral to costone one night, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer and soothe, even kill. Are times that much in the window and very little in the cellar. Time when technology can make you get this letter, and that you can choose to share these thoughts or simply delete them. Remember

spend some time with your loved ones because they will not be here forever.

Remember to be friendly with a man I admire, because that little person soon will grow and away from you.

Remember to hug a friend you have around because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart, without costing you a dime. Remember

say I love you your partner and your loved ones, but all say it sincerely. A kiss and a hug can repair an injury when given with all my heart.

Remember to take your hand with your loved one and cherish the moment, because one day this person will not be with you.

Take time to love and to talk and share your most cherished ideas.

And always remember:

Life is not measured by the number of times that we breath, but for the extraordinary times we are removed. George Carlin

The day that Mexico lost her virginity ... 68

The other day I read a blog post from @ AliciaAlarcon and I remembered that at 68 I was there. He had I locked ...

This is the story:

married I had a cousin who sadly died many years ago. With 2 small children and lived in one of those departments Lerdo Street in Tlatelolco, was on the ground floor.

Each week at least 3 times I went to eat at home. We expected to reach her husband (The Felon) and usually after a delicious meal cooked by my cousin, we played basket late. Mexico was another altogether.

That evening in fact was the last time we did this ritual as soon moved there.

Arrive as always greet and then the children.
then followed her into the kitchen to talk while he finished cooking.
course the main theme were all student movement events of recent days and especially the rally that day, October 2, 1968. Llego el Pelon

which was also my cousin and commented that the truck was getting off the bread as usual and the square (of the Three Cultures) was already full.

started to eat I do not remember that but for sure very rich. As we did we heard much buzz on the street. We knew it was getting crowded and the hairless and I discussed that we would go for a while. This of course is opposed my cousin but anyway would go.

For those days had almost total support of the population of the student movement.
That alone was a big problem because we now know the situation was getting out of control to the government and the Olympics were a few days.

finished eating, we left and headed for the tunnel passing under the street that now is the Eje Lazaro Cardenas. This Lerdo Street connecting to La Plaza de las Tres Culturas. We did not get either the tunnel entrance.

the shooting began. At first we were puzzled but the tunnel quickly filled with people running towards us shouting now: "We are shooting the riot. "
went into panic and ran back to the department.

entering my cousin questioned us on the brink of hysteria, but did not know anything except what we heard and saw.
The screams were ever greater and panic in the streets the gunfire increased.
We started screaming that her brother was a teacher and a student leader was at the rally.
She asked her husband (the brother also lived in Tlatelolco but across the street from Lerdo), crying to go see if he was in his apartment. I of course point to accompany me. Of course we never think about the risk to leave and go get it.

Out in the street Lerdo people were running everywhere.
traffic stopped, cars, trucks nothing moved. Those who were still in the abandoned car and ran. Trucks were also taken by students on their way to the rally caught. They tried to turn around but stayed stuck in the median further aggravating the problem.

not even know how to cross the street to the apartment from Lerdo my cousin, and obviously we were not, we return immediately.

For those times, if possible, because the situation was worse.
taken the fire trucks. The bullets were now more frequent bursts nearby. Ambulances could be heard everywhere.
The truth does not even know how to return to the department.

was total chaos, because people also do not know to where to run. The panic to people shouting "Here come the riot" and they changed course again. It fell the stepped
was a nightmare all.
trying to cross back Lerdo people now started running towards us saying that they were the Grenadiers by Ricardo Flores Magon Street was on our right. We stopped for a moment and come to see soldiers walking on the avenue. The catcalls and shouting insults mothers accompanied the dead on fire trucks. My fear was terrible but the adrenaline made me want to go to see what happened.

Suddenly a hail of bullets came close to where we were. Realizing the imminent danger of El Pelon pulled my arm because I wanted to stop and see this thing that nobody could imagine that my young life was incredible. But it took me back to the department. (Testing saved my life when I least I think so far)

Upon arrival my cousin was in mass hysteria. We cry when we saw his brother as he closed the door. Please note that in no. Soon the lights went out and stopped working the phone and slowly getting dark and we kept hearing gunshots and screaming sirens.

suddenly began to arrive People knocking on the door. Since the area was cordoned off and everyone was dead of fear.

With much fear and reservation, but with a sense of solidarity and condemnation El Pelon value I pass to those who touched it, aware of the risk we ran all.

not remember how many people let it go but there were several. Most were men dressed in suits and brought memories to some portfolios.

The department was very small and almost filled all remained standing. There together in the dark dead of fear and talked. We never knew who they were or their names or where they lived. Only vaguely remember their faces full of fear and hatred, some with tears. Suspirábamos
All and we shivered as gusts reached near or screams and the endless noise of the ambulances had us in a total state of panic.
lost track of how long time does not pass. As
was later shot each time was less and almost no ambulances were screaming but did not stop.

People were gradually taking courage and decided to leave. Some single other in pairs. Soon we were alone. Entry

night my uncle and my cousin's dad came for us. Not living in Tlatelolco.
Never ask how you managed to enter Tlatelolco. In fact nobody talked about what happened a long time.
Entering the depa
had the countenance of a corpse. The sunken eyes and dry mouth wide, his voice was thick and firm usually totally broken. He was brown but her face was white and reflected much concern.

El Pelon would not go and leave the house alone, was left to care despite our allegations that he did not.
I probably would have done the same. Children
My cousin and I went with my uncle in his car dead of fear.
Volteábamos for all sides but it was very dark and almost nothing was visible. The light had begun to hit the streets but were not luminaries like now and almost no well-lit. Leaving saw

a true siege. The military checkpoints all over with.
Ambulances were coming and going.
I asked my cousin to my uncle if I go to see her brother and commented that there was little time.

El Pelon then told us that another day does not know what to do but it was too early to work. He watched as they washed the Plaza of Three Cultures and the streets with pipes and collecting shoes and objects that were thrown everywhere.

Over the weeks we were finding out by stories like this all happened because the media said nothing.

To date I shudder when I remember and even when carrying out movies and the other never could see.

cousin whom went to look if it was at the rally, but that's another story that did not live. I just told it many years later. The trauma experienced as saved by a soldier who let him escape. Imprisoned for many years, all without being able to tell.

very special thanks to @ sonnyluna for taking the time to read and make me some valuable feedback.

Pattycake Online Free

For the "Arthur" of all ages.

few days ago, a cousin sent me a folder full of pictures that had her mother's sister mine.
Some photos and some not seen before.
My mother and sister died many years. The folder was kept around as everything old that is stored in a drawer or box.
The folder with the photos ran with the fate of someone who still knows the value not only discovered and rescued him but I do get.

Alongside these photos really struck me that there was a newspaper clipping and I keep my breast.
carefully unrolled it and read the newspaper was in 1964. The cut reproduces a letter from General Douglas MacArthur to his son Arturo.

The introduction of the paper says:

Publishers of "Prensa Libre" paying tribute of admiration and respect for Gen. Douglas MacArthur,
Playing his memorable "Prayer", written for his son Arthur in the Philippines, during the critical early days of World War II.
is a beautiful spiritual legacy for the "Arthur" of all ages.
Saturday April 11, 1964.

now that the General died on April 5, 1964, at 84 years of age. So the publication.
Douglas MacArthur (January 26, 1880-May 4, 1964)

"Prayer of a Parent"

"Give me, O Lord a child who is strong enough to know when it is weak and brave enough to face himself when be afraid. A child who is proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and magnanimous in victory.

Give me a child never bend your back when you need to lift the breast: a child knowing you know, and knowing oneself is the cornerstone of knowledge.

Drive it, I beg you, not convenient and easy way, but on rough roads, spurred by the difficulties and challenges. There
let him learn to stand firm in the storm and feel compassion for those who fail.

me a son whose heart is clear, whose ideals are high: a child who masters himself before trying to dominate others: a child who learns to laugh, but who also knows mourn, a son that progress towards future but never forget the past.
And after you have given all that, Lord, add, I pray, enough of a sense of humor, so it can always be taken seriously without it too seriously. Give him humility so that you can always remember the simplicity of true greatness, the impartiality of true wisdom, the meekness of true strength.

Then I, his father, will dare to whisper ... I have not lived in vain "General Douglas MacArthur

Chicken Pox Condition_symptoms

And just in case you missed it ...

letter from my brother in August 2008 (Not edited this as it was written by)

I Never Told my Dad I loved him ... Even thou eleven I wrote him a song ... And It Was a song that in his later years between one of those cancer bouts he had... He once told me to sing it to him... I in my stupidity sang it but kinda resented it because it was something I had written years ago and that was the 1st time he ever showed any interest what so ever in it...

La juventud es PENDEJES!!

It wasn't until many, many years after Dad died that I realized it was just my dad's way... I think he was overwhelmed and since he was brought up to always show strength. He never showed it to that extent... I think I would have made him get a little misty and that would have broken the image...

Things were different then no?!?!?!

You know as much as I loved and showed love to mom I don't ever think I told her I love you either... That's sad, but you know. I don't miss a chance to tell you guys the most important people in my life that I love you... And because of those experiences I have become a little better person and a little more at ease.

I know you have no doubt (as does Joshua) that I really truly love you. And I have received the same from you two as well and that makes me feel very happy and mostly God Blessed.

I have many friends and I always try to let them know and it's funny because, I sense the hesitance from people... You know you get that kinda Homophobic attitude... hehehe, but I could care less bro. I tell people close to me (and even to some not that close) that I love them, some directly and some Indirectly But They hear it and in the long run They Answer.

Was a great tale This dude ... right up there with the red book!

And just in case you missed it ...

I LOVE YOU ...

BROKEN WINDOW THEORY

in 1969 in STANFORD UNIVERSITY (USA), PROF. Phillip Zimbardo
CONDUCTED AN EXPERIMENT IN SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. TWO CARS LEFT UNATTENDED IN
STREET CAR IDENTICAL TWO: THE SAME BRAND, MODEL AND TO COLOR.
ONE LEFT IN THE BRONX, then a poor district CONFLICT OF NEW YORK.
AND THE OTHER IN PALO ALTO, RICA AND QUIET AREA OF CALIFORNIA. TWO IDENTICAL
ABANDONED CARS, PEOPLE WITH TWO VERY DIFFERENT DISTRICTS, AND A TEAM OF SPECIALISTS
SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY STUDY THE BEHAVIOR OF PEOPLE IN EACH SITE
.

THAT THE CAR WAS ABANDONED IN THE BRONX TO BE STARTED IN
BANDALIZADO FEW HOURS. LOST THE TIRES, THE MOTOR, THE MIRROR, THE RADIO, ETC.
TODO LO TAKES IT TAKE AND WHAT NOT DESTROYED. CHANGE IN THE AUTO
ABANDONED IN PALO ALTO remained intact.

is commonly attributed to POVERTY CAUSES CRIME. ALLOCATION IN THAT MATCH
ideological positions more conservative (
RIGHT AND LEFT). HOWEVER, the experiment in question does not end there. WHEN
the abandoned car in the Bronx was crushed. PALO ALTO AND CARRIED
intact for a week, the researchers broke
AN AUTO GLASS OF PALO ALTO.

The result was that erupted THE SAME PROCESS THAT IN THE BRONX, AND THEFT,
VIOLENCE AND VANDALISM REDUCED THE VEHICLE AT THE SAME CONDITION THAT THE POOR NEIGHBORHOOD
.

WHY THE BROKEN GLASS IN THE CAR IN A NEIGHBORHOOD ABANDONED
ALLEGED INSURANCE IS ABLE TO SHOOT ALL CRIMINAL PROCESS?

NOT ABOUT POVERTY. OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH PSYCHOLOGY
HUMAN AND SOCIAL RELATIONS. A BROKEN GLASS IN AN ABANDONED AUTO
convey an idea of deterioration, disinterest, unconcern
TO BE BREAKING CODES OF BEHAVIOUR AS
ABSENCE OF LAW, NOR MORE OF RULES. HOW much is it. EACH NEW ATTACK SUFFERED THE AUTO REAFFIRMS
and multiply that idea until the escalating acts
EVERY TIME TURNS WORST uncontainable, resulting in irrational violence.

in later experiments (James Q. Wilson and George Kelling)
developed the 'Broken Windows Theory',
SAME AS FROM A criminological point of view FINDS THAT THE CRIME IS
MAJOR IN AREAS WHERE NEGLECT, THE DIRT, AND ABUSE DISORDER
ARE OVER.

IF BREAKS A GLASS WINDOW OF A BUILDING AND REPAIRING NO ONE,
SOON ALL OTHERS WILL BE BROKEN. If a community shows
SIGNS OF DAMAGE AND IT SEEMS NO MATTER TO ANYONE, THEN THEY CREATE THE CRIME
. IF YOU MAKE SMALL 'missing' (PARKING IN PROHIBITED PLACE,
EXCEED THE SPEED LIMIT OR running a red light), AND ARE NOT THE SAME
sanctions, then MAJOR FAULTS AND THEN BEGIN INCREASING CRIME SERIOUS
. SI

PARKS AND OTHER PUBLIC SPACES ARE GRADUALLY
DAMAGED BY THE MOST NEGLECTED PEOPLE (THAT LEAVES OUT OF THEIR HOMES BY GANG FEAR
), these same areas ABANDONED BY THE PEOPLE ARE INCREASINGLY
taken by criminals.
THE BROKEN WINDOW THEORY WAS APPLIED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MID
THE DECADE OF THE 80 IN THE METRO NEW YORK, WHICH WAS
BECOME MORE DANGEROUS TO THE POINT OF THE CITY. HE BEGAN TO COMBAT THE SMALL
TRANSGRESSIONS: GRAFFITI DETERIORATING THE PLACE FOR DIRT
STATIONS, drunkenness BETWEEN PUBLIC PASSAGE evasion,
petty theft and disorder. The results were evident. STARTING AT SMALL
DID HE DO THE METRO UNLUGAR INSURANCE. AFTER

, E 1994, RUDOLPH GIULIANI, MAYOR OF NEW YORK,
BASED ON THE THEORY OF BROKEN WINDOWS AND EXPERIENCE IN THE METRO,
PROMOTED A POLICY OF 'ZERO TOLERANCE'.

The strategy was to CREATE COMMUNITIES CLEAN AND ORGANIZED, NOT ALLOWING
breaking the law and the rules of urban living.

The practical result was a huge ABATEMENT OF ALL CRIMINAL
INDICES OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK.

EXPRESSION 'ZERO TOLERANCE' SOUNDS LIKE A KIND OF SOLUTION
authoritarian and repressive, BUT RATHER concept is PREVENTION OF
AND PROMOTION OF SOCIAL SECURITY. THIS IS NOT
lynch the crime or the arrogance of the police,
IN FACT, OVER ABUSE OF AUTHORITY MUST ALSO APPLY THE ZERO TOLERANCE
.

IS NOT EITHER OF THE DEATH PENALTY OR THE EYE FOR AN EYE, (as some opportunistic politicians and cowardly
OF OUR COUNTRY HAVE PROPOSED IN THESE DAYS
) EVEN LOWER THE AGE OF CRIMINAL, BUT RATHER A SET OF
IDEAS THAT SHOULD BE PROPERLY APPLIED IN A BENEFIT FOR ANY COMPANY
.
zero tolerance
NOT AGAINST THE PERSON COMMITTING THE CRIME, BUT
zero tolerance SAME CRIME.

Communities is about creating clean, orderly, law abiding
CODES AND COEXISTENCE BASIC HUMAN SOCIAL, LIKE NOW THAT WE
.

WANT TO BE OPTIMISTIC AND THINK THAT TOUCHED AND MEXICO FUND AND FINALLY GOING TO WAKE UP AS SOCIETY
. I HOPE FOR OUR CHILDREN.

How To Meet Men With Herpes

Coming Attractions This

After several months with this all dead, I'll say something.
recently had possession of something I had been promised for a long time and that of H or B (very rare indeed expression and that made me wonder if it refers to "B" or "V", but in my book, without doubt, the B is better) never materializes. I
speaking of a "combined" as they say some people or audio equipment as well or simply be called a "player" (it's more than that because it has radio and a place to store the discs, but it is).
Since then we have acquired different disks (some purchased, others taken from my home) vinyl being the basis of our (me and my girl, obviously) collection.
The first to be purchased were (for her) a greit hits of Mama Cass (which includes the issue of Desmond, "Make Your Own Kind Of Music") and an album that includes songs from John and Yoko for me was a great Esito 'by Julio Sosa and a disc of The Zombies (see image 1, I always wanted to say that). For both was the Rubber Soul (great album no doubt).
Then came some less valuable, including one of Cacho Bochinche of '80 and the Banda Sonora de Jesus Christ Superstar.
But more recently (a few hours ago, JEJ) went to Tristan Narvaja Fair, which acquired "She Loves Cole", which Ella Fitzgerald sings Cole Porter and a compilation of Piazzola (for her) and Dark Side Of The Moon (disc just finished listening to 2 times), legendary if any, part of the acquis group.
And what is all this? Getear addition to the presence in my hands the disk just mentioned, is to discuss how sublime it is to listen well (almost the only way I learned it).
Bue, for here is the thing, enjoy your stay and come back soon.
Greetings, LEFEVRE.

How Do You Make A Homemade Toy Boat

Digitalizame

With the help of IMDB faithful friend I was watching what movies will come in the first months of the year, and this is what I chose that for me is to see:

Film: Youth In Revolt.
Interest: 7 / 10.
Reason: Steve Buscemi (I continue: you have to do anything else that makes SB).

Film: Cop Out
Interest: 8 / 10.
Reason: Kevin Smith can be a good reason (it has an uneven career, but generally worth it) and what little I read about the movie (basically a comedy chotonga action, I think it may yield enough.

Movie: Alice In Wonderland .
Interest: 8 / 10.
Reason: since I heard it's not the history books but as if it were simply a continuation or a new visit Wonderland Alice, I lose interest a little, but I think Mr. Burton, I always say is a great art director (or film if you prefer) but a mediocre writer and a director just fine, you can do something worth being in this movie.

Movie: Hot Tub Time Machine.
Interest: 9 / 10.
Reason: If just the fact that he was traveling in was not enough time work also John Cusack, which is great.

Movie: MacGruber
Interest: 6 / 10.
Reason: I like Will Forte and generally try to see movies based on characters from SNL.

Movie: Wallstreet 2.
Interest: 6 / 10.
Reason: Oliver Stone is increasingly losing credibility in my book, so I'd have to see this to indicate whether he stays or goes.

Movie: Robin Hood.
Interest: 7 / 10.
Reason: Who can resist what is surely one of the major American summer blockbusters? Action and others. Besides going to be Gladiator 2 (same director and star, and other points in common). I is not going to be that of Mel Brooks, but surely yield.

Movie: Shrek Forever After.
Interest: 6 / 10.
Reason: I am increasingly less interested in Shrek, but ta, must be seen because the first was great.

Movie: Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time.
Interest: 7 / 10.
Reason: PoP is one of my all time favorites games, so I could not let this to all versions of games or comics, right?

Movie: The A-Team .
Interest: 8 / 10.
Reason: are the magnificent, why would not see it?

Movie: The Karate Kid .
Interest: 5 / 10.
Reason: I see it, yes, yes, but I have much fear. It is going to be utterly horrible.

Movie: Footloose .
Interest: 5 / 10.
Reason: Basically the same as for The Karate Kid only this is going to be out of date yet.

Movie: Grown Ups.
Interest: 7 / 10.
Reason: Another is to get out of my list is Adam Sandler, let 's see how it is for th in this.

And I really do not know if there is something else. Should be seen, but this, as you see, full of videogames and comics adaptations and remakes, I took a couple of hours.

Bue, things are well, I have already this well armed as they try to go out the viewing.

And you pretty joss sticks that walk through the center of attraction, enjoy movies as they can, because it seems, is about to explode.

Greetings, LEFEVRE.
